What We Collect

When you use JobHunter, we collect:

• Resume data — parsed from your uploaded resume to build your profile
• Career preferences — target titles, salary range, location, remote preferences
• Job search activity — which jobs you view, score, and apply to
• Account information — email address and authentication credentials
• Usage analytics — feature usage to improve the product

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to power your job search:

• Matching you with relevant job openings
• Scoring jobs against your profile and preferences
• Generating tailored cover letters, resume bullets, and interview prep
• Tracking your application pipeline and follow-ups

Data Isolation

Each JobHunter user runs in their own isolated container on Fly.io. Your resume, profile, job data, and application materials are stored in a private volume that no other user can access. There is no shared database between users.

What We Don't Do

• We never sell your data to third parties
• We never contact employers on your behalf without explicit action
• We never share your profile with recruiters or other users
• We do not use your data to train AI models

AI Processing

JobHunter uses Anthropic's Claude AI models to analyze job postings, score matches, and generate application materials. Your resume and profile data is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train models. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request complete deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your isolated container and all stored data are permanently destroyed.
